I’ve been designing for over two decades now. (Remember Illustrator 88? I do!) I started in graphic design but found myself drawn to the practical problem-solving of industrial design. This foundation continues to shape how I approach design through form, function, systems, and human experience.

Curiosity has always been the driving force behind my career. I taught myself web design while publishing an online journal back when they weren’t yet called “blogs,” eventually transitioning into digital design full time. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individual clients, creative agencies, and global organizations including Microsoft, Expedia, and Best Buy.

Along the way, I’ve worn many hats: visual designer, brand designer, art director, UX designer, product designer, information architect, front-end developer, creative lead, and most recently, AI explorer. Each role has expanded the way I think about design - not as a collection of disciplines, but as a connected practice focused on solving problems and creating meaningful experiences.

My background in branding and visual design gives me a deep appreciation for craft, storytelling, and cohesive systems. Combined with my experience in UX, product design, and technology, it allows me to create experiences that are not only visually compelling, but thoughtful, intuitive, and built to scale.

Outside of design, I’m happiest making things. I’m an avid woodworker, cyclist, camper, and traveler. My wife and I love exploring new places, often from behind the wheel of one of our two vintage vans: a 1982 Volkswagen Westfalia and a 1991 Mitsubishi Delica L300 Star Wagon Super Exceed (naming conventions for 90’s JDMs were… interesting).

Whether I’m building furniture, restoring an old vehicle, or designing a digital experience, I’m driven by the same appreciation for craftsmanship, curiosity, and thoughtful problem solving.
